Installing Bittorent

First of all, what is a Bittorent?

Bittorent is a software wherein it uses P2P or peer-2-peer protocol file sharing. Just like any other softwares for file sharing. For example like, Bearshare for music and movies, uTorrent, and LimeWire, the former popular downloading software which is now out-of-date.

What is the purpose of Bittorent unlike any other softwares?

Well, priority can be adjusted the way you want it to be. For example you're in a hurry and want to download a certain file which consumes a small period of time.
It also uses "Start automatically when windows starts up" settings which will be discuss on how to configure it later on, and etc.
You can download almost everything like softwares, ebooks, movies, music, games, and etc. When I said "almost" I mean, ANYTHING!

So, let's start! :D

How to Install:

1. You need to download the software. Download the latest version as much as possible to make you updated and preventing any technical issues with regards to the software. The software can be downloaded here.
2. Execute the file and proceed by clicking "Next".
3. Click I Agree until you reached the point that asked you to choose installation location
At this point, it's your own choice. Depending on your desired location so it would be easy for you to locate its directory.
4. Additional Settings will be the next afterwards, leave all the fields checked. Like this:

5. At this part, you will see this:

If you would like to set BitTorrent web search as a default search engine, you may leave it checked same as with the toolbar. (But I recommend you not using it.)
Anyway, most importantly, you have to leave the EULA or the End-User License Agreement checked for you to be able to proceed. Then click install.
6. Unlike any other software, it won't prompt any dialogue box if its whether you want to restart your PC or anything. A notification icon will appear at the notification area.(At the left side of the task bar). Like this:

But after updating several times, it may turn violet.
7. Then that's it. You can use BitTorent now.

How to download files using Bittorent:

1. You have to know where you could search torrent files. Unlike any other downloading softwares, BitTorrent uses a different file with respect to its supported executive downloads. Try using "friendly nethood" GOOGLE. You could see almost everything on google but. I'll try to be more specific so I'll give you some:
2. Search on what you want to download, or any keyword will do.

3. You have to read for this carefully. As you can see on the image above, there are green numbers and blue numbers. Green numbers, stands for "seeds" and for blue numbers stands for "peers". Download the one which has more seeds(has many numbers of seeds). Find the "Download this torrent" text. Because some of the websites are a bit tricky.
4. Click the file that you want to download. Then after downloading, right click the file then choose "open with bittorent" but basically, it executes itself and then opening the BitTorrent window automatically.
It should look like this:

5. Assuming your download is done.
Right click on the name of the file that you're currently downloading, and click the "Open containing folder". Then it's finished. Now you know how to use the BitTorrent! :D

FAQS
Q: Is this piracy?
A: As far as I am concern, it's not a piracy for me. I only use this for my personal purposes. As long as you don't violate any terms and conditions such as distributing of what you've downloaded. It's not.
Q: What are seeds and peers?
A: Seeds are persons who already finished downloading it and the more the seed is, the more your download gets faster. And for peers, these are persons who are currently downloading the file.
Q: Is it possible to encounter threats such as viruses?
A: Definitely yes, It's not my fault if there's any technical issues occurred. BitTorrent is safe. But not with the files that you're downloading. I mean, not anytime.
Q: Any suggestions or techniques to prevent threats?
A: READ. That's the most important. You have to read attentively. Comments of other people about the file you're trying to download are very helpful too. Like example: "qwertyboy06: LOL this is fake damn it!" Then the other one replied, "asdfgirl09: yeah it doesn't work." or "asdfgirl09: don't download it, bad quality"
It always depends on you. Download at your own risk. >:D
Q: Will it slow my internet connection?
A: Yes, it may slow your internet because it adds more traffic on your local area connection. But as your downloaded file progresses and finished, your connection will be on its normal speed again.

And I end my tutorial here. I hope this tutorial helped you a lot! Heads out and keep on downloading! :P
Peace out! :))
